WAREHOUSE
YANBU / KSA
INDUSTRIAL
Duration:30 days
The warehouse owner needed to re‑level two large floor slabs to allow the mobile racking system to operate safely, while keeping the facility running throughout the works.
OBJECTIVES
To stabilise and re‑level the sunken warehouse floor slabs, restore the required floor tolerance across all racking banks, and ensure business continuity throughout the treatment process.
URETEK teams first tackled hot spots in the flooring to enable the racking system to work on a temporary basis. Expanding geopolymer resins were injected through 15–20 mm diameter holes drilled through the floor slab. The material expanded aggressively to fill voids, then further injection gently lifted the flooring back to level. The degree of lift was precisely controlled using laser level monitoring. The team moved section to section, with each bank of racking taking approximately 6 days, leaving the rest of the warehouse operational at all times.
OUTCOME
We completed the programme of work within 30 days, achieving the target floor levels within a millimetre, and returned the warehouse to full operation without any disruption to storage activities.
